Forestville Elementary School

Forestville Volunteer Information

Welcome to the school year 2009-2010! Forestville Elementary School is a wonderful place of learning not only because of the dedicated teachers, but also due to the enthusiastic and talented group of parent volunteers.

Volunteer participation is a critical element in our children’s education. Volunteering provides a great opportunity to learn more about the school, meet new people and become involved in your child’s education. Volunteers contribute to the enhancement and development of many wonderful programs and resources for our children.

Please take time to study all of the opportunities to become involved and select what interests you. Many of the activities involve work that can be accomplished at home to accommodate parents with younger children and those who work.

This list briefly describes the PTA functions and activities that need your volunteer support. In addition to this list, the teachers will solicit classroom volunteers at Back to School Night. If you have any questions regarding any committees, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator listed below. Please return the Volunteer Sign-up Sheet on or before September 29, 2010.

The asterisk (*) denotes volunteer friendly committees and functions for working parents and parents with pre-school age children. School policy discourages bringing pre-school age children to school during school hours.
